Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 March 2026
These terms govern your use of BriefWave ("the Service"), operated from the United Kingdom. By signing up for or using BriefWave, you agree to these terms.
1. What BriefWave does
BriefWave is an AI-powered content digest service. It monitors the YouTube channels, Substack newsletters, podcasts, Medium authors, and other sources you choose, then delivers a daily summary as a voice note and text via Telegram, WhatsApp, or email.
Summaries are generated by artificial intelligence and may not perfectly capture every nuance of the original content.
2. Your account
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate. You may not create multiple accounts to abuse the free trial.
3. Pricing and payment
- Price: BriefWave costs £6.99 per month
- Free trial: New users get a 7-day free trial. Your payment method is not charged until the trial ends
- Billing: After the trial, you are billed monthly via Stripe. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law
- Price changes: If we change the price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email
4. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time by:
- Using the "Manage subscription" link in your digest email
- Sending /manage to the BriefWave Telegram bot
- Emailing hello@briefwave.app
When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. We do not charge you again after cancellation.
5. Acceptable use
BriefWave is for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Redistribute, resell, or republish BriefWave summaries commercially
- Abuse the free trial by creating multiple accounts
- Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
6. Content and intellectual property
BriefWave summarises publicly available content from third-party sources. Summaries are generated by AI for your personal use. The BriefWave name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property.
7. Service availability
We aim to deliver your digest every day but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Digests may occasionally be delayed due to third-party API outages, scheduled maintenance, or unforeseen technical issues.
8. Limitation of liability
BriefWave is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decisions you make based on BriefWave summaries. Our total liability is limited to amounts paid in the 3 months before any claim.
9. Changes to these terms
If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
